So, yeah, it’s summer, finally, but somehow you’re feeling “blah” anyway. You need a vacation, something that will freshen your perspective and put a little lift in your step . . . but it isn’t vacation time yet. Sigh . . . .
The answer: take a mini-vacay without even traveling!
How? By doing something that refreshes you! You might . . .
- get your hair cut/colored/highlighted/styled. It doesn’t have to be major if you’re not into that ~ even a trim will freshen your hairstyle and make you feel happier.
- have a manicure or pedicure … or both! ~ and not the DIY kind; the idea is to do something fun and relaxing. And a mani/pedi, done by someone else, has the added benefit of making you feel pretty while being quick and inexpensive
- Spend some time in the sun and fresh air ~ go to the pool or to the beach, if you’re lucky enough to have one in driving distance.
Or, if you’re not into the water thing, go to the garden shop or one of the local hardware superstores and pick out a new plant or two. Make or find some pretty pots for them and spend an hour re-potting and positioning your new flowers where they’ll get light and you’ll be able to see them.
And that’s just three ideas just off the top of my head ~I bet you can come up with at least 3 of your own. Try it! Just making the effort will help change your perspective and get you focusing on something fun . . . and that’s refreshing in itself!
Happy summer!
